Pastel-Still Life
This is my pastel still life, which incoperates objects that I and 2 other people had chosen. Depicted is a cat purse, a bouncy ball in a cup, nail polish, a brown glass bottle, and mushrooms with a base. My piece I think has a lot of TEXTURE, expecially for the mushroom base and nail polish. Additionally, I thought the blue ball had a nice COLOR with it's complimentary orange vase. I think I really had EMPHASIS on the orange vase and the ball because I placed them in the center and they take up the majority of the composition. Finally, I thought I did a good job with the SPACE of the cat pouch, mostly with the handle. The one thing that I would change would be the BALANCE of the background. I would ethier not use the color purple or add an additional object to the left side of the piece.
