Realistic Scene With A 2D Animal

I really wanted to include a mountain scene, and I wanted the camera to focus on the tree which I think provided a different aspect.

I messed with multiple different textures till I found the right one.
Discuss adding your 2-D animal. Is it visible and does it create an interesting focal point to your scene? I struggled with the squirrel because it was really hard to drag him around because the bushes had such a large box. I wish I had put him in the tree.

I mainly used the mountains for depth, but I feel that even smaller things like the bushes helped. i really like how it turned out.
Fantasy Scene

I used as many different simple objects I could without overcrowding the image. I wanted to use bright colors that just barely match the color palette.
Discuss your process for creating a fantasy scene, materials, color palette, etc.
I simply chose shapes or objects that I thought were interesting, played with them until I found something I liked, and then colored them multiple times till I found the one I liked.
What type of artificial light did you add?
I placed artificial lighting in the middle of the globe which I think gave it the impression of a sunset.

I placed every structure at different lengths in the scene expect for the mountains.
