Incorperating an airbrushed sky and some watercolor, my art piece depicts mountains during the night time. With the airbrush I tried to give the sky VALUE ranging from light pink to dark blue. Additionally, I tried to give the tree in the corner the TEXTURE of numerous leaves. I made sure to put shadows underneath the log to give a sense of FORM for it. To give the artpiece a sense of UNITY I made sure that the colors in the sky matched the ones in the water. Finally, I tried to put EMPHASIS on the middle of the piece by surrounding it with the tree, log and large mountain. If I could change anything about this piece I would definetly paint less stars to make it more realistic.
